Hughes Team Racing rider Michael Hughes made the trip to
Scotland for the Second round of Melville Motor Club
(Scotland) Ltd Metzeler Hare & Hounds 2 hour Adult A and
B enduro.
Michael entering a enduro for the first time was nervous
and excited as he waited for the flag to drop for the
race start.
he was 3rd into the first corner and remained 3rd for
the first three laps then had a fall in the woods which
saw him drop well back down the positions.
but in true Michael style he got his head down and
charged forward again taking back position after
position until he was back in third, a quick pitstop for
fuel and he was on it again pushing hard and with half
an hour left he took the lead still pushing on though.
with 15 minutes left on the clock he pitted again for
fuel which saw him through to the end of the race taking
the win with 21 laps of the course completed.
Great for his first Enduro.

Michael was lucky to make this event after the previous
weekends bike problems and as he was leading the
championship here it was important he got to ride and
with help from some great people: (Chris Barker
125mx.com, Jeff Kidd, Pete Collingwood V-twin Harley
services Doncaster) also a lot of travelling for parts
his bike was rebuilt and ready late Saturday night.
